Nearing the end of the mission and Nate being the anomaly's influencer, I figured I'd toss up a post like this to discuss those who want to "deal with Nate" when he's been clocked as the Etrayan that's been rumored to have been taken over by the anomaly. Quentin and Sophie will have clocked Nate and the anomaly being a thing with being telepaths themselves while Gorgug and co. have a means of dampening/nullifying the anomaly's influence which will annoy Nate a little and he's sure to go looking for the things blocking the spread. More info on that from players in this post.

On that side of things, if people want to encounter Nate or be influenced by the anomaly further when he's on the hunt for these nullifiers, we can do something with that? This could turn into a bit of PVP if you're not on the same wavelength of him for thinking with this and comes with the potential of him injuring others if that's what you're looking for. I'm not looking for him to kill anyone, but. The offer to go against him in whatever capacity is there, be it fighting or trying to talk him down.

On the flipside, if you're looking to go against someone you wouldn't normally (friend, lover, family, etc.), Nate can help you do that with the anomaly's influence. If you're looking to get messed up in a traumatic way via a mind break of sorts because you got in his way, Nate as a telepath can break your mind a little. There's a few options that can directly and indirectly involve him. Ultimately, Nate is going to be stopped and taken down by Knife in the form of being stabbed as one does sometimes, but. Prior to that, other interactions and fighty-fight can happen.

Dealing with any of this is entirely optional and not something everyone needs to participate in, but. If you want a little fighty-fight for your character, be it with Nate or against someone else, that's what this is for. This can be discussed and handwaved or threaded out, I'm honestly fine with whatever's easiest for you. Just let me know and we can figure it out.

Think someone could give me a hand with something?

( He starts with voice, isn't particularly looking forward to the idea of putting up a video. But he sounds tired, annoyed. )

I got this thing on my wrist I need to get off. ( The way he says thing makes it clear he feels some kind of way about it.

But he does, reluctantly, turn on the video to show what he means. So you'll get treated to the sight of his arm and the glowing cufflink on his arm. He turns his wrist carefully, shows the shape of it, and the underside of his wrists shows a darkening red mark on his skin under it from constant wear and pull over time. He pointedly doesn't call attention to the reddened hand prints you can see on his forearm, another on his bicep or the faint outlines of handprints on his biceps and shoulders. A moment longer of showing the cufflink, even unclips part of it to show the way it extends. And then, he cuts the video.

[ In the very late hours of the night (or early morning depending on your perspective), there comes a message that's basically a stream of consciousness. ]

so, this mission. the location.
it's kind of like... my home world? or it reminds me of it

...I'm sure people have probably noticed by now, but the other people from my world are... not here anymore. They've been gone for a while, actually. I'm the only left.

Flirting with disaster.

Vincent had said that he needed to speak to someone else in the Convoy before going into any of the details Sephiroth had asked for, and Sephiroth.. allowed it.

He'd waited twenty years, he could wait a little longer. But he'd spent more time studying the tiny picture in the locket, attempting to connect the name Lucrecia to it instead of Jenova. It's not easy, that wasn't the name he'd known all his life, but he was willing to accept that he'd been lied to. About ... so much.

This too could be a lie, and if it was..

Vincent's invitation to discuss it one early evening was not particularly close to the Convoy, in a spot where monsters had been keeping a den but over the course of the last month had been cleared out, the empty showroom floor of what had once been a car dealership, its luxury vehicles long gone. It was as secure a place as any could hope for, and unlikely to be eavesdropped upon.

And so it's there he waits, after flipping one of the desks upright again and using it as a convenient seat. Vincent said he'd be there soon enough.
